Wimbledon is the home of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club and the setting for the famous Wimbledon tennis tournament since 1877. It is the only remaining major grass-court tennis venue in the world.
Wimbledon has been updated with the addition of improved stands and a retractable roof for Centre Court. The roof was completed in time for the 2009 Wimbledon tournament.

DURING THE GAMES

The London 2012 Olympic Games Tennis competition will take place just three weeks after the end of the annual grand slam tournament.

AFTER THE GAMES

Wimbledon will continue to host the grand slam tennis tournament each summer.
